To build a business you must first build the people. Palm Beach School for Autism’s Project Next gives the opportunity to 18-22 year old adults to create a relationship with local businesses for hands-on training. Cara, Garron, Dylan and Andree are all on the Autism Spectrum and yesterday was the 1st day of training at our Okeechobee and Jog location. These students are given the chance to enhance their skill sets in society and we are so proud of them all. As a team the group accomplished some of the day to day restaurant prep work that is required in the mornings. Work began with folding napkins, sorting and rolling silverware, folding kids menus for Wednesdays Kids Eat Free Night all before the doors open for business. Our first team had a huge smile when they had accomplished their tasks! A special shout out to our team leaders at PBSFA Project Next’s Lano Tice, Cheryl Sandlas, Tamara Jackson, Val Ayestas, Patrick Pierre and Jamie Schreckengost at Duffy’s Sports Grill for creating a gentle learning environment!
