Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches will offer a fundraiser upon which everyone can feast this Thanksgiving.

Pie It Forward, the annual Thanksgiving fundraising campaign, is back for a seventh year.

This season, the community’s largest holiday pie sale will take on an additional tropical feel with more Key lime pies available than ever before.

“This year we are donating 350 pies, which will help raise funds to feed seniors in need,” Geri Emmett, chairwoman of the Duffy’s Foundation and a member of the Meals on Wheels of the Palm Beaches board of directors, said in the statement. “Pie It Forward is a fantastic event that brings awareness to the number of seniors in our communities that need financial assistance, help getting access to a healthy meal and a daily wellness check.”

Duffy’s also is partnering with the Palm Beach School for Autism to assemble pie boxes, and with local Girl Scouts, who will once again decorate pies and pie boxes.
