The Duffy’s Foundation and Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida teamed up together to teach more than 25 Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts cooking fun with simple meals. Together we created a Garden Salad with Dijon Lemon Vinaigrette and our Duffy’s Signature Margherita Flatbread from scratch! For dessert, the girls learned how create homemade Buttercream Icing and to use items around the kitchen to decorate their cupcakes. To tie it all together the girls learned how to host a party from what they learned today with local ingredients. The girls were rewarded for their hard work, earning an exclusive Duffy’s 2018 Cooking Patch along with the Girl Scouts USA Simple Meals Badge. The girls took home from the experience their prepared meals, custom Duffy’s apron, and their own set up measuring cups so they can recreate these meals with friends and family.
